Top Matric achievement for
Domino Servite School
Thankfulness to our Lord as mission school scores top
marks
We are grateful to God for His blessing upon Domino Servite School. The final exam in
South African schools is called "matric" - commonly known as Grade 12 in most
countries. This exit year is monitored on a national basis by Umalusi which is the "statutory
organization which sets and monitors standards for general and further education and
training in South Africa with the purpose of continually enhancing the quality of
education and training."
Besides the 100% matric pass (which the school has achieved for
the last 22 years), all the learners passed with exemption (necessary for entry to
university).

The Sunday
Times wrote an article on one of the matriculants, Claude Peters.
DSS uses the Independent
Examination Board, which has a more "benchmarked" matric exam.
The general
matric results across South Africa, were disappointing with only 60.6% managing to
pass. KwaZulu-Natal was ahead in improving the "dismal matric exams performance in the country and emerged as the
only province where results for the 2009 finals have improved."
(for more information about the school) see the DSS website.
