Matt 6:22 - 24,
22 The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body
will be full of light.
23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the
light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other,
or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and
mammon.
Young people must flee youthful lusts (2Tim 2:22); boys and girls
visiting each other arouse youthful lusts. If you disobey God's word you will bear the
consequences.
This is not a KwaSizabantu way or teaching. This is God's way. It is God's word. Disregard
it to your own peril.
Even if many other churches choose to lower God's standard to fit to their way of doing
things and let young people flirt together we choose to cling to God's word and uphold it
and go His way of holiness for young people.
When your eye is evil everything becomes dark and if your eye is
good your whole body will be full of light.
Two men were walking on a path full of obstacles. The one walked
easily whereas the other was continually stumbling over every obstacle. The reason was
that the one had good eyesight and could clearly see the obstacles and stepped over them
or walked around them. The other's eyes was weak and bad and he couldn't clearly see the
obstacles until it was too late and therefore stumbled over the obstacles.
Are things full of light to you or not? If your eye is good then
things will be clear and obviously discernible in life.
God might speak clearly but someone with an evil eye just don't
hear and see God's working. As soon as they leave the service they are back in their old
ways of irritibility, anger and lust. But if you bring the things of the world to such a
one he immediately feels at home and enjoys it. They see and understand the things of the
world clearly.
Once I had a nice shining shilling and a pound and asked a child
to choose one for himself. He immediately chose the shining shilling, for he did not
understand the value of each.
To the one with an evil eye the shine of the world and its lust
has a great pull but the one who has a good eye can discern the worthlessness of the
things of the world and the unspeakable value of the things of God and His Kingdom.
Do you have a longing to receive His light, to such an extent that
all the things of the world are as rubbish and dung to you? Then hear the word of the of
the Lord from Ps 119:105, " Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my
path."
When God's word takes up residence in you then you see things from
His perspective; then you won't be tricked by all the worthless dainties of the world
which satan brings your way, for you can see.
His light shows you the path even when other comforts are removed.
A person led by God's light doesn't need constant instruction, "watch here" or
"look out there", for the Word of God lightens his path.
Jesus said "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in
darkness, but shall have the light of life." (John 8:12)
The Holy Spirit illuminates and guides you in the way you should
go. (1John 2:27)
You cannot serve two masters, God's way and the world's way. You
will either love God and hate darkness or love darkness and hate God who is light.
Live in God's light
